Mary Street

Dagun Railway Station

Dagun Railway Station, nestled in the tranquil Mary Valley just 16 km south of Gympie, offers a charming and rustic setting for a photoshoot. This heritage-listed station, established in 1914, features vintage timber architecture and a quaint platform, evoking a sense of nostalgia and timelessness. Surrounded by lush countryside and rolling hills, it provides a picturesque backdrop for capturing both intimate portraits and expansive landscape shots. The station's serene ambiance and historical character make it an ideal location for photographers seeking a unique and evocative setting.

Carlo Sandblow

Carlo Sandblow is a vast, windswept sand dune with panoramic views over the ocean and forest—offering a surreal, otherworldly setting ideal for golden hour portraits and dramatic landscape shots.

But it is a decent walk through the bush involving steps. Everyone involved in the Photohoot needs to be reasonably fit.

Amamoor Station

Amamoor Railway Station, nestled in the heart of Queensland's Mary Valley, offers a charming and historically rich setting for a photoshoot. This heritage-listed station, established in 1914, features vintage timber architecture and a quaint platform, evoking a sense of nostalgia and timelessness.

Eagles Nest at Glastonbury


This is a gorgeous location with stunning views and sunsets.

It may not be suitable for small children as there are dangerous edges with long drops and they would need to be watched.

The drive there is also only really suitable for 4WD vehicles as the road can be rough sometimes. BUT it is definitely worth the effort.

Rainbow Beach


One of my favourite places.

Rainbow Beach is a stunning coastal gem with golden sands, dramatic cliffs, vibrant coloured sands, and sweeping ocean views—perfect for a breathtaking and diverse photoshoot backdrop.

Madills Park on the Southside


A simple easy location where children can run around safely. There is even a horse that may come up to say hello.

This free day use area offers nice scenery.. It is dog friendly. Access is off the sealed road via a short unsealed vehicle track. The park is a little remote from the sealed road.

Kawana Beach

. Kawana Beach is a long, uncrowded stretch of pristine coastline with soft sand, rolling surf, and a relaxed vibe—perfect for natural, sun-drenched beach photoshoots.

Moffat Beach- Caloundra

Moffat Beach, nestled on Queensland’s Sunshine Coast, offers a picturesque setting for dog-friendly photoshoots. With its golden sands, gentle surf, and relaxed coastal ambiance, it provides an ideal backdrop for capturing joyful moments .

The beach's natural beauty, combined with its welcoming atmosphere, makes it a favourite among pet owners seeking memorable seaside photographs.

Wild Horse Mountain


If you want to travel a bit further Wild Horse Mountain has the most amazing sunsets.

It is quite steep but concrete all the way. Amazing 360° views of the Glass House Mountains to the west and Bribie Island and the coastal strip to the east.

The Rattler Railway Station

The Duck Ponds

Lake Alford Recreational Park, affectionately known as the Gympie Duck Ponds, is a picturesque location ideal for a photoshoot. Situated at the southern entry into Gympie, the park features a tranquil lake surrounded by lush greenery, providing a serene backdrop for capturing natural beauty. The area is home to a variety of birdlife, including ducks and swans, adding dynamic elements to your photos. 

Counter Road


The Pine trees on the way to Tin Can Bay are a stunning location for a Photoshoot. There are tracks that meander through the trees that make for a great location for children to run and play safely.

Amama Creek,

Nestled within the Amamoor State Forest in Queensland's Mary Valley, offers a serene and picturesque setting ideal for nature photography. The creek meanders through lush subtropical rainforest, featuring clear waters, moss-covered rocks, and a cascading waterfall, providing a tranquil backdrop for capturing the essence of the Australian bush.

The Amama Day-Use Area, located approximately 5 km west of Amamoor township along Amamoor Creek Road, serves as a convenient starting point for exploring the area. This spot is equipped with picnic tables, BBQ facilities, and toilets, making it suitable for extended photography sessions . From here, the Amama Walk—a 1.5 km loop trail—leads through dense rainforest adorned with buttress roots, draped vines, and ferns, culminating at a scenic waterfall . The trail includes natural creek crossings, so caution is advised, especially after rainfall.

La Balsa Park


La Balsa Park in Buddina is a picturesque riverside location ideal for photoshoots. Situated along the Mooloolah River, it offers serene water views, lush greenery, and ample natural light—perfect for capturing tranquil and scenic images. The park's walking paths, shaded areas, and proximity to Point Cartwright provide diverse backdrops,

Sunshine Beach

Sunshine Beach is a stunning coastal gem located in Noosa, Queensland, offering a perfect setting for a photoshoot. The beach boasts golden sands, clear turquoise waters, and a relaxed atmosphere, making it ideal for capturing both candid and posed moments. Its proximity to Noosa National Park provides access to scenic trails, rocky outcrops, and panoramic ocean views, adding diverse backdrops to your shoot.

Emu Mountain- Perigian

Uninterrupted coastal views from the summit of Emu Mountain, on this short hill climb through coastal heath.

1.1 km return

There are a number of tracks that lead off the main track, which all lead to the top. At the top there are a number of rocky outcrops the children love to climb. From the top you can view the different tracks around the mountain that can lead you back to your car.


Victoria Bridge


Victoria bridge on the River Walk is a lovely place for a Photohoot. So many little nooks and crannies and you can walk down to the River if you'd like.

Buderim Waterfalls

This is a 45 hectare secluded oasis, hidden on the northern side of Buderim, less than a kilometre from the Buderim Village.

There is a board walk from the Car park to the Waterfalls. It can be quite dark as the trees are thick. The Waterfall is stunning.

Coolum Beach

A perfect combination of beach, trees and gorgeous rocks Coolum beach is a stunning location for a Photoshoot especially if you don't mind getting wet and sandy.

A short walk from the carpark it is perfect for families, maternity or engagement photoshoots.

Fraser Island

Rainbow Shores


This is a great location as it is not as well known as Rainbow Beach so it is not as populated and yet has all the beauty. It includes a short walk in the bush to the beach.

We meet at the carpark at Rainbow Shores and from there, walk to the long stretch of beach.

The Barn

A beautiful property in Kandanga ( 20 mins drive from Gympie) available to rent for Photoshoots. It includes a beautiful old barn, fences, cows, a creek, a hilltop with views. Enquiries- Desley 0408074887

The Sands (Mary River)

The Sands on the Mary River in Gympie offers a serene and versatile setting for photoshoots. This location features a rocky riverbank, tranquil waters, and lush greenery, providing a natural backdrop ideal for capturing intimate portraits, lifestyle sessions, or nature-focused imagery.

The combination of natural beauty and accessibility makes The Sands a compelling choice for photographers seeking a peaceful riverside location in the Gympie region.

Eileen Hose Park

This is a gorgeous spot for photos. It is situated on the Southside of Gympie. Beautiful Gum tress that filter the light to help create flattering images. They are grassy areas shaded by trees, dirt roads which always look good in photos and at the back, some gorgeous old pine trees.

Mothar Mountain

Mothar Mountain Rock Pools, nestled within Woondum National Park just 16 km southeast of Gympie, offer a tranquil and visually captivating setting for photoshoots. These natural pools, formed at the confluence of Woondum and Boulder Creeks, are surrounded by lush subtropical rainforest and towering eucalypt trees, providing a serene backdrop of gently flowing water over ancient granite outcrops .

James McKane Lookout Park

James McKane Lookout Park, also known as the James M McKane Memorial Lookout or Tablelands Lookout, is a serene and picturesque location situated in Cooran, Queensland. Perched atop Tablelands Road, this vantage point offers sweeping panoramic views of the Sunshine Coast hinterland and coastline, making it an exceptional spot for photography enthusiasts. 

 It's an ideal location for capturing sunrise or sunset shots, with the expansive vistas serving as a stunning backdrop. However, it's important to note that during rainy conditions, access via the 5 km winding dirt of Tablelands Road may require a four-wheel-drive vehicle.

Inskip Point


Inskip Point offers a stunning and diverse coastal backdrop with pristine beaches, calm waters, and dramatic natural features. Its golden light at sunrise and sunset makes it perfect for capturing serene portraits and dynamic landscape shots.

Cooroy’s Noosa Botanic Gardens is a beautiful, peaceful spot that’s perfect for a photoshoot. With lake views, lush gardens, winding paths, and features like the Grecian-style amphitheatre and lily pond, there are heaps of great backdrops to choose from. It’s ideal for relaxed, natural portraits in a stunning outdoor setting.
